Real world training to get you and your team ready on the ground.
Are you wondering how to get your people ready?
Resilience through Preparation!
The Humanitarian Preparedness Centre (HPC) was borne out of a gap in skills for people on the ground. Over the course of a decade working in emergency humanitarian response, John Kargotich observed that often, the level of training for the preparation of those entering the world of humanitarian activity was sometimes low. This lack of training and preparation can have a negative impact and detracted from the good outcomes humanitarian effort strived for.
With that observation, it was also clear that the experience and the many lessons learnt from emergency humanitarian response provided an excellent platform for learning and development of critical skills. These skills would prove useful to humanitarian activity as well as in many other fields of endeavour.
In that context, the Humanitarian Preparedness Centre was established to build the capacity and resilience of both individuals and organisations working in the humanitarian field to meet the demand of the ever challenging response of humanitarian need, thereby underpinning the credo “Resilience through Preparation”.
The Humanitarian Preparedness Centre has established a framework with which to address the training and critical thinking needs. It is responsive to demand with the formation of thematic training teams with subject matter experts in diverse areas of personal and organisational development such
Outstanding training that will ensure your team is truly prepared.
